Vent-A-Roof: The innovative roofing solution

With over 40 years of experience, Vent-A-Roof saw the need to provide better roofing products and services. Responding to the challenge of mould and mildew issues, Vent-A-Roof created Australia’s first concealed ridge ventilation system that uses the traditional ridge designs on today’s buildings.

Utilising natural airflow with no power, no moving parts and no noise, Vent-A-Roof has responded to the needs of Australia in providing a solution in all facets of metal ventilation as an alternative to the traditional Whirly Bird.

Engineered and designed with precision, it is the first system that can be installed along the entire ridge line on any roof design, profile or pitch. The louvres are made from Zinc-Alloy which are compatible with Colorbond and Zincalume products. Built into the louvre is a closed-cell waterproof foam which prevents wind-driven rain and water entry, placing Vent-A-Roof at the forefront in roof ventilation.

When any metal roof is sunlit, the attic becomes heated and the air typically rises to 70 degrees Celsius and over. By installing Vent-A-Roof’s system, hot air will release through the louvres, causing ceiling air to be replaced by cooler ambient air, reducing the air temperature to 30 degrees Celsius. It also has the capability to be installed on any commercial, industrial, multi-residential and residential building including government, schools, hospitals or aged care facilities throughout Australia.

The system has undergone stringent test conditions for wind driven rain at 177km/ph and water leakage tests providing flawless results. It can be installed in all wind categories, including cyclonic zones and has air leakage data for all building types. Vent-A-Roof holds a form-15 under Australian and New Zealand Building standards for domestic & commercial.
