What time is it on and where is DesignBUILD 2018?
DesignBUILD will be returning to Melbourne in 2018 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Opening Hours for 2018 will be released late 2017.
Who can attend?
DesignBUILD is a trade only event for professionals in the architecture, building, construction and design industries. You must work in, or be associated with, a relevant industry to gain admittance to the show and be able to provide proof of identity upon entry to the exhibition.
What accommodation is available?
Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre is surrounded with a variety of accommodation options available for all attendees and exhibitors of DesignBUILD. To view the options, please visit the MCEC Website.
Is there an Entrance Fee?
DesignBUILD is free to all industry professionals if you pre-register online. If you do not pre-register, there is a $25.00 charge at the door on the day of the event.
Can I register colleagues too?
Yes, if you know the details of your colleague(s) you can add them to your registration at the bottom of the first page. This will copy your company details and make it easier for you to manage.
How can I buy seminar tickets?
All seminar tickets need to be purchased through the registration pages. If you have not yet registered you will be automatically prompted to select seminars when you register to attend.
If you have already registered and would like to add seminar tickets, click on ‘UPDATE DETAILS’ on the registration page. Then log into your registration using the Username and Password you set up, you will then be able to navigate to the seminar pages to make your selection.
Seminar tickets will be available to purchase in Feb 2018.
Can I buy seminar passes for my colleagues?
If you have registered additional colleagues only then can you select seminars to add to their accounts. If not then they need to log into their individual registrations to purchase tickets. Alternative you can contact the team on email@example.com and we can assist you with a group purchase.
I don't know my username or password?
If you have forgotten your Username and Password, please use the reminder function at the bottom of the box. This will prompt an email to your nominated account. If you were registered without knowing, please also use this function to reset your password.

Can children attend the expo?
Persons under the age of 16 are not permitted to attend the exhibition due to the nature of some of the exhibits on display. The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry to under 16s.
Can students attend?
Students are welcome at DesignBUILD, however they are required to pre-register online. Only students studying a related course will qualify for entry.
Can I take photographs at DesignBUILD?
No. All photography and video is prohibited. To protect the intellectual and product property rights of exhibitors, no video or still photography (including mobile phones) is permitted. These rules are strictly enforced and individuals caught taking unsolicited photography will be removed from the show. Permission to photograph products or stands within the show can only be granted with prior approval from the show organiser – contact firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange permission to photograph onsite.
Can international visitors attend DesignBUILD?
If you are from overseas and planning to visit DesignBUILD you will need to apply for a business visa. The passport which you hold will determine whether you can apply online, or if you need to lodge a paper-based application. Click here for more information.
Applications need to be made well in advance at the Australian Embassy in your country or in some cases can be made online. For more information visit the Department of Immigration website.
Please note that the Organisers DO NOT provide visa invitation letters to international visitors.
I'm an exhibitor, how can I get a visa?
Exhibitors who have a confirmed booth and have paid in full, please view the Online Exhibitor Manual. Applications must be made in advance at least 8 weeks prior to the event.
