Update on Coronavirus
IMPORTANT EVENT UPDATE: DesignBUILD postponed until October
Organisers of DesignBUILD, Diversified Communications Australia, have been closely monitoring the current situation regarding the outbreak of the novel (new) coronavirus (COVID-19).
In response to the information released by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Australian Department of Health including restrictions disrupting travel and business, Diversified Communications Australia have made the decision to reschedule DesignBUILD 2020.
Originally scheduled to run from 21-23 April, the event will now take place on 27-29 October 2020. The venue, Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, remains unchanged.
Please be advised that existing visitor registrations remain valid and Diversified Communications Australia will work with key stakeholders including exhibitors, partners and sponsors to mitigate inconvenience wherever possible.

How can I register?
What time is it on and where is DesignBUILD 2020?
DesignBUILD will be returning to Melbourne in 2020 at the Melbourne Convention Exhibition Centre
Tues 27 October 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
Wed 28 October 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
Thu 29 October 10:00 am – 4.00 pm
Who can attend?
DesignBUILD is a trade only event for professionals in the architecture, building, construction and design industries. You must work in, or be associated with, a relevant industry to gain admittance to the show and be able to provide proof of identity upon entry to the exhibition.
Is there an Entrance Fee?
DesignBUILD is free to all industry professionals if you pre-register online. If you do not pre-register, there is a $25.00 charge at the door on the day of the event.
Can I register colleagues too?
Yes, if you know the details of your colleague(s) you can register as a group and add their their details.
How can I buy seminar tickets?
All seminar tickets need to be purchased through the registration portal. If you have not yet registered you will be automatically prompted to select seminars when you register to attend.
Can I buy seminar passes for my colleagues?
If you have registered additional colleagues only then can you select seminars to add to their accounts. Alternatively you can contact the team on firstname.lastname@example.org and we can assist you with a group purchase.
I don't know my username or password?
If you have forgotten your Username and Password, please use the reminder function at the bottom of the box. This will prompt an email to your nominated account. If you were registered without knowing, please also use this function to reset your password.
I want to book a stand?
Can children attend the expo?
Persons under the age of 16 are not permitted to attend the exhibition due to the nature of some of the exhibits on display. The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry to under 16s.
Can students attend?
Students are welcome at DesignBUILD, however they are required to pre-register online. Only students studying a related course will qualify for entry.
Can I take photographs at DesignBUILD?
All photography and video is prohibited. To protect the intellectual and product property rights of exhibitors, no video or still photography (including mobile phones) is permitted. These rules are strictly enforced and individuals caught taking unsolicited photography will be removed from the show. Permission to photograph products or stands within the show can only be granted with prior approval from the show organiser – contact email@example.com to arrange permission to photograph onsite.
Can international visitors attend DesignBUILD?
If you are from overseas and planning to visit DesignBUILD you will need to apply for a business visa. The passport which you hold will determine whether you can apply online, or if you need to lodge a paper-based application.
Applications need to be made well in advance at the Australian Embassy in your country or in some cases can be made online. For more information visit the Department of Immigration website.
Please note that the Organisers DO NOT provide visa invitation letters to international visitors.
I'm an exhibitor, how can I get a visa?
Exhibitors who have a confirmed booth and have paid in full, please view the Online Exhibitor Manual. Applications must be made in advance at least 8 weeks prior to the event.
